Holly Vezina

Holly Vezina was born at altitude. Not metaphorically, but literally – in Leadville, Colorado, where the sky starts earlier and the air has always been a little thin. Above Tree Line is her column about philosophy, technology, and what it means to be human in a moment when those three things are in full collision. She writes from where the models don't have great coverage yet – above the noise of the hype cycle, above the well-worn paths, in the sparse terrain where the landmark questions are still being named.

Holly is a multi-time founder and product leader whose teams have built software running inside Fortune 100 companies. She is president of the Colorado Product Foundation, a 5,000-person community of builders and thinkers across Colorado; programming lead for Boulder Startup Week, and an advisor to product teams and founders navigating growth, complexity, and the increasingly strange terrain of building in an AI-first world. When Holly isn't doing any of that, she's on skis or a trail with her two kids, which is, honestly, where most of her best thinking happens.

She believes clarity is kindness. She believes the most important questions are the ones nobody's quite asking yet. And she is a deeply unreasonable woman – which, if Shaw was right, means she's exactly where she should be.
