AI Builders Boulder abides.
The event formerly known as Boulder AI Builders is now known as AI Builders Boulder in order to better brand the bash, as it has expanded beyond Boulder to include bigger - but not more beautiful - burgs.
As has become standard, there were hundreds of builders in attendance at Boulder's Founder Central on November 6. (The exact number of attendees was not available, but there were nearly 400 RSVP's.) While each of the attendees may have been merely a data point in a virtual ocean of coders and data scientists, collectively they were a testament to the multitudes of GenAI talent residing in Boulder and throughout the Front Range.
The evening featured five demos. The standout for this reporter was the demo given by Skyler Place, the founder of DekaBridge. This Colorado company offers an AI coach that helps enterprise product leaders make better business decisions by helping to ground decision-making in logic instead of emotion.
Honorable mentions go to local heroes Jon Hieb of Ranger, which offers AI-driven QA testing, and Andrius Useckas of ZioSec, which provides an AI agent security platform. The demos were rounded out by Nick from Datadog and Ado Kukic, community manager of the little-known startup Anthropic.
The organizers of the AI Builders events hail from Freeplay, Matchstick Ventures, and Ombud. Long-term sponsors include Boulder's own Technical Integrity, whose founder, Dave Mayer, was previously featured in this publication as a Colorado AI VIP. Other sponsors include Drive Capital and Silicon Valley Bank.
On December 10, the event is returning to Denver, this time appearing at Venture X Denver Lodo at 1800 Wazee St. Those interested in attending are encouraged to sign up early.
