Arrow Electronics, Inc. is seeking an AI Evangelist with a focus on IBM Watsonx.

As Google’s AI Overview makes clear, Watsonx is an AI and data platform designed to help businesses scale and accelerate their AI initiatives. It's comprised of three core components:

  • watsonx.ai for generative AI
  • watsonx.data for data management, and 
  • watsonx.governance for responsible AI

The AI Overview continues, “These components work together to enable businesses to build, deploy, and manage AI applications while also ensuring transparency, explainability, and compliance.” 

According to the Arrow job listing, the successful candidate for this position will play a crucial role in evangelizing, promoting and advocating for the adoption and understanding of IBM AI technologies.

Primary responsibilities of the job will include building awareness, fostering education, and driving enthusiasm for AI among both internal and external stakeholders.

Candidates should be able to act as a bridge between technical teams, business leaders, and the wider community, working to demystify AI, showcase its potential, and promote its ethical and responsible use.

The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in the design, development, and promotion of IBM AI solutions that address complex business challenges. Qualified candidates will have strong, analytical minds to connect with executives and they will be able to describe how to solve cutting-edge problems with AI and machine learning.

Focusing on AI, the successful candidate will help customers accelerate their journey toward leveraging IBM’s AI suite of tools to achieve their business goals as well as you will have the opportunity to work on groundbreaking projects, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and contribute to the advancement of AI technology.

Candidates should be able to help customers and suppliers identify opportunities for innovation by leveraging their expertise in the analytics, machine learning and artificial intelligence space.

Desired qualifications include:

  • 10+ years in a technology leadership/implementation role, preferably with Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning with a four-year degree, or six years and an advanced degree, or equivalent experience
  • Real-world AI/ML project end-to-end experiences, including design, build and validate successful AI/ML solutions

Responsibilities include:

  • Evangelizing, promoting and advocating for the adoption and understanding of IBM AI technologies
  • Building awareness, fostering education, and driving enthusiasm for AI within both internal and external stakeholders
  • Acting as a bridge among technical teams, business leaders, and the wider community, working to demystify AI, showcase its potential, and promote its ethical and responsible use

The duties of the position include a mix of educational outreach, thought leadership, community building, collaboration, technical support, and networking.

Annual hiring range is $150,100.00 - $250,647.89, based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level.
